Claire Reade is a Senior Associate with the Freeman Chair in China Studies at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and Senior Counsel at Arnold & Porter in Washington, D.C. From 2010 to 2014, she served as Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for China Affairs in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. Prior to that position, she was the Chief Counsel for China Trade Enforcement from 2006 to 2010.

Reade has litigated numerous U.S. agency proceedings and court appears, and has represented clients on NAFTA and WTO-related goods and services. She is a frequent lecturer on international trade issues.
