A total of 108 temporary activities have Guangdong listed as a part of their areas of operation (including activities taking place nationwide); 95 of those activities took or are taking place in Guangdong only. The Guangdong-only activities most frequently focus on education and poverty alleviation; these thematic areas of emphasis are also reflected in the activities selected for awards.
