China: 115-Year-Old Woman Could Be World's Oldest Person

A 115-year-old woman from southwest China has applied for a Guinness World Record naming her as the world's oldest living person. Fu Suqing, from Chengdu, Sichuan, was born in 1897 and she has 48 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Liu Yi, the reporter who interviewed Mr. Ma, resigned on July 19, according to a statement on the SCMP’s site. The interview generated controversy online as Mr. Ma was quoted as saying the 1989 crackdown on protesters in Tiananmen Square was “the most correct decision”.
